Could the dining options along Midtown’s 7th Street stretch get any better? Actually yes! And they just did, with the arrival of everyone’s favorite upscale tiki bar Hula’s Modern Tiki!

The Valley’s original island-style hideaway, Hula’s recently moved its Phoenix location from Central Avenue and Camelback to 7th Street and Camelback–not far enough to lose any regulars, but now in a prime spot to recruit new ones as well. Housed inside a stylishly revamped mid-century modern building, Hula’s offers incredible cocktails, a delicious menu, fun and welcoming vibes, dog friendly patio, and a little something extra…

In addition to the main dining room and 40-person private dining room, Hula’s features an adjacent craft cocktail lounge called the Captain’s Cabin, accessed through a nondescript metal door to the side of Hula’s main entrance. Decorated in rustic wood, dim lighting, and decor befitting an ancient sea vessel, The Captain’s Cabin offers Hula’s ‘Uku Nui’ (meaning ‘premium’ in Hawaiian) cocktail menu, brimming with craft cocktails and rare rum flights (open Wed-Sat, 6 pm to close).

Hula’s food menu is extensive and diverse, featuring appetizers like Samurai Beef Sticks, and Spicy Thai Fish Cakes; salads such as the Cajun Ahi Caesar; and dozens of entree options, including fish plates, burgers and sammies, bowls, tacos, and more substantial fare like Duke’s Luau Pork Plate and Traditional Kalbi Ribs. And don’t forget their sinfully delicious, island-themed desserts!

Their ‘Tiki Time Happy Hour’ is offered Mon-Fri, 3:00-6:30 pm, featuring all apps (except ahi items) and signature cocktails for $6. Glasses of wine are $1 off, and beer ranges from $3-4. They also offer fun weekly specials, such as Monsoon Mondays and ‘Word of the Day’ Thursdays.

A hearty and sumptuous weekend Brunch is offered until 2:30 pm Saturday and Sunday (try their Hawaiian specialty burger, the Loco Moco–deelish!). Oh, and complimentary valet parking is offered–always a plus. So pull out your grass skirt and check out 7th Street’s newest resident. Kick back, order some sum, and let the cool, relaxed island ambiance take you away.

Hula’s also has a second location in downtown Scottsdale at 7213 E. 1st Avenue. For more information, call 602-265-8454 or visit www.hulasmoderntiki.com.
