Zero Degrees has locations in California, Texas, Oregon and Nevada and recently opened a new store in Glendale. The franchise is famous for its ‘Mangonada,’ a mango slushy spiced with chamoy, Tajin and mango chunks. That isn’t the only delicious thing on the menu though; Zero Degrees features a variety of teas, slushies, limeade, boba and floats. It also has a mini kitchen that puts out fun ice cream sundaes, popcorn chicken, chicharrones, wings and fries.

Can’t make up your mind? Prices at Zero Degrees are cheap enough to get multiple shareable plates, and even offer a split cup that allows patrons to try different products.

The Mangonada was an immediate hit with my diner and I, the mango (both fresh and slushed) was perfectly fresh and sweet. The Strawberry Mojito (non-alcoholic) was very refreshing and the strawberry chunks made it a bit more interesting than your run-of-the-mill mojito.

The Hot Cheetos Elotes that we saw all over Facebook were tasty, but be warned; you need to dig in a little to actually get some corn in your bite. This dish is chock-full of cotija cheese and Hot Cheetos.

The franchise has a wide advertising campaign and has become viral online for their Instagram-worthy food and flavors. The small restaurant was packed at lunch time, even on a weekday, but the food came out quickly and deliciously.

Zero Degrees is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
