We have been more that a few times and posted on our instagram page many of the wonderful dishes we have tried at The Hash Kitchen.  Joey Maggiore, Executive Chef and Co-owner at Hash Kitchen is doing something absolutely fantastic in Scottsdale.  Hash Kitchen is hands down one of our favorite breakfast/brunch spots in all of Arizona!  Where do we start?  Well, let’s jump right in with the best Bloody Mary bar in Arizona?  Right when you walk in the door, you are confronted with this massive white horseshoe shaped bar filled with everything you can (and can not imagine) that belongs in your Bloody Mary.  From Slim Jim’s, to meatballs, deep fried jalepanos and oysters on the half shell to name just a few of the 40 different garnishes.  This bar could easily be a meal in itself and certainly a challenge (which we gladly accepted) to build the the most decadent creation in your personal mason jar.  One of the first flavors we encountered was the selection of bacon infused vodka and bacon salt on the rim….REALLY???????  WOW!!!  From there it just gets better with all of the garnishes we mentioned above, look close at the pictures in the article above for more details!

Next was the oh so challenging aspect of selecting our dish from a menu that seems to be endless of mouthwatering creations that make you want to try just about all of them! From the beginners of the warm, sweet, and sticky Hash Monkey Bread, to Brunch Bruschetta with caramelized, bananas, nutella, sweet mascarpone, strawberries, fig jam, warm brie and thick bacon (OH MY GOD!) to the Cannoli Donuts (the name says it all), you almost need to order all three of these to start your brunch off right!  We experienced the Bacon Brioche French toast with Bourbon syrup, candied pecans, and bacon maple whip.  This French Toast is simply put…stunning with so many flavors dancing in your mouth!  Next we didn’t try with our tummies but we devoured with our eyes…the Apple Pie Pancakes.  This dish was delivered to the table next to us and gave off the aroma of your grandmothers apple pie straight out of the oven…on a huge stack of pancakes.  This dish partly became a viral order from table to table to bar to table once the first order was placed.  And as our main dishes, we enjoyed the Huevos Ranchero Hash and the Pastrami Sandwich.  Both of these dishes were absolutely amazing!  The hash with black beans, crispy hash potatoes, cotija, crispy tortilla, fried eggs, avocado, cilantro, charred carne asada, and red chili sauce is everything described there.  My mouth is watering as I type this.  Kamrie (my sons girlfriend) ordered our last dish that encouraged us to simply split our dishes , a pastrami sandwich.  Ii’m so glad she ordered it!  This sandwich was delivered with piled high brisket pastrami, swiss cheese, creamy cole slaw, Russian dressing, on a hot ciabatta bun.  An absolute must try!!!

The Hash Kitchen has us deviating a little from our core mission which is to simply find great dishes and share them with our community.  My point is we usually write about one dish (or maybe two) per article.  Hash made this impossible for us!  Absolutely positively one of the best spots in Arizona and we were so excited to find out about their location in North Scottsdale on Frank Lloyd Wright and comping soon to the Arcadia area (how lucky are you guys in Arcadia!).  Maybe I should move to Arcadia sometime soon!
