For many, the start of the holiday season is the unofficial kickoff to tamale season! Tamales are a significant and delicious part of many holiday celebrations, but they can be daunting to make at home. No fear! Macayo’s Mexican Food is celebrating the holiday season by announcing several tamalada classes and take-home tamale kits, making easy and scrumptious work of tamale season.   A tamalada is a traditional Mexican event where groups of family and friends gather to assemble tamales. The LDV Winery Tasting Room is alive with holiday spirit this December. Throughout the month, winery co-owners Peggy Fiandaca and Curt Dunham are hosting multiple events to keep things merry and bright all season long, including three Cork Crafting events.   Cork Crafting Classes take place on Saturday, Dec. 2, 9 and 16 from 10:30-11:45 a.m. Each course includes crafting supplies, a glass of LDV and nibbles for $60.   Participants who have a specific craft idea are welcome to call Peggy to discuss it prior to their class.
