There is an even sweeter event this month – the Girl Scout Cooke Dessert Challenge.
From February 1 to February 29, more than a dozen Valley chefs have partnered with the Local Girl Scout Council on this special event.
Their mission – use their culinary prowess to re-imagine one of the beloved flavors of Girl Scout cookies into a custom dessert menu item. Each restaurant has agreed to feature its dessert on its menu from February 1 to February 29, 2016, with a portion of the proceeds from each dessert sold directly supporting Girl Scouting and the local Council in our community.
Your mission – taste them all!
Here is where to find Girl Scout Cookie Desserts this month:
“And if really feeling daring – we encourage the entire community to buy a few extra boxes of cookies from their local troop and try their hand at crafting their own recipes,” says Susan de Queljoe of the local Council. “In 2015, the Girl Scout Cookie Dessert Challenge inspired home cooks and families to get creative with Girl Scout cookies. In fact, Girl Scouts sold more than 3.25 million packages of cookies – the largest sale in Council history.”
