My Wine Cellar in Ahwatukee is never short on ideas to bring people together to indulge in life’s finest pleasures.  Spring in Arizona is a short but marvelous season to enjoy time on the patio with great wine, fresh food and wonderful music, for every season there’s a reason.

 As temperatures rise in the valley Shannon Rush, owner of My Wine Cellar, identifies with Arizonians and wants to encourage people to come out and play.  So, she is hosting an Oregon Wine Festival and bringing their crisp, light and refreshing summer wines to us.  “There is something magical about wines from Oregon that stems from the diverse terroir, cool climate and wine making community” said Shannon.  “I will be discussing those differences and sharing the love first hand through extraordinary expressions of Pinot Noir, Roses, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay alongside a Wine professional and buyer Matt Sharp” she enthusiastically added.  

May just happens to be Oregon Wine month so the festival is quite appropriate for this time of year.  The festival will be held on May 4thfrom 1pm-4pm and wines will be available for purchase. So, if you are already dreaming of beating the heat don’t pack your bags too soon, Oregon wine professionals are headed out west to showcase their vibrant summer sippers.  You will have the opportunity to chat with industry leaders and stock up on some hard to get wines.  Soter, Eyrie Vineyards, Domaine Serene, J Christopher and Beaux Frere are just some of the fabulous Willamette Valley wineries that will be in attendance.  See? It feels 20 degrees cooler just thinking about it.

Customers will be able to try this exquisite selection of wines with a comforting local vibe in the air.  “We’ve decided to bring a little slice of the Portland food truck scene to our backyard with a local Phoenix Food Truck, The Satay Hut!  We are excited to spend the afternoon pairing these amazing Willamette Valley wines with Indonesian Satay, and will also offer charcuterie with imported meats and cheeses from all over the world” Shannon proudly said.  Her creative personality and insightful flare for great entertainment and unique cuisine is what makes My Wine Cellar the place to be.
