The University of Arizona Eller College of Management has announced its upcoming Eller CIO Summit. The event takes place Friday, Oct. 27 at UA Chandler at The Johnathan, located at 55 N. Arizona Pl. The event features breakfast, key discussions led by a panel of experts and moderated by Eller Dean Karthik Kannan and Eller Executive in Residence Sanjiv Rastogi as well as networking opportunities.
“We are pleased to present an opportunity for guests to hear from and interact with this panel of experts to discover how they lead through technology and stay ahead of an ever-changing world,” said Karthik Kannan, dean of the Eller College of Management. “Along with our Eller Executive in Residence, I am privileged to serve as moderator for this summit and am confident it will serve to benefit all attendees.”
The summit begins at 8:30 a.m. with a networking breakfast followed by opening remarks from Dean Kannan at 9 a.m. The first panel, Leading through Technology, runs from 9:15-10:15 a.m. and is followed by a brief coffee break. The second panel, Challenges of Forward-Thinking Organizations, runs from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Panel one, Leading Through Technology, is moderated by the 2023 Eller Executive in Residence Sanjiv Rastogi, Strategic Advisor, Healthcare, Microsoft. In this discussion, attendees will learn how the role of a technology leader has transformed into a strategic driver of business success. Panelists will share how they shape digital strategies including the integration of AI, fostering innovation and ensuring technological alignment with organizational goals.
The second panel, Challenges of Forward-Thinking Organizations, is moderated by Dean Kannan. In this discussion, panelists will share how as businesses increasingly rely on technology to remain competitive and agile, they face many complex issues including workforce development, cybersecurity threats and the legal implications of bringing technology to the marketplace. They will also share how they adapt to succeed in this digital era.
