SculptureTucson Introduces Pop-up Sculpture Park at Hacienda del Sol

SculptureTucson, the local non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing Arizona’s cultural landscape through the placement of sculpture in public spaces, has launched a collaboration with one of Tucson’s most beloved and beautiful properties, Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort, located at 5501 North Hacienda del Sol Road, to offer art and culture aficionados a way to safely get out and view some incredible art and natural beauty via the all new Pop-up Sculpture Park. Taking place from Saturday, May 9 through Sunday, May 31, the event kicks off with an exclusive VIP opening Friday, May 8 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Hacienda del Sol has been a constant champion of SculptureTucson, and this pop-up group show of sculpture is a great opportunity for the entities to collaborate, share resources, and simply offer a fun event for the public while respecting social distancing. The show also allows SculptureTucson yet another avenue to serve its mission of connecting local artists with new Tucson audiences — and beyond.

Daily from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. throughout this free event, guests are invited to drive through the Hacienda del Sol parking lot to view large-scale sculptures placed among the landscape. Nearly 20 popular artists are participating, many of which are local to the community. On Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10 and Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, Hacienda del Sol is offering special menus for diners to order and enjoy in their cars as they view the art work.

The Mother’s Day To Go Dinner features prime rib with mashed potatoes, chef’s choice vegetable, creamy horseradish and au jus along with a strawberry lemon cupcake for dessert for $35/PP ++.

The Memorial Day Mix Grill includes BBQ chicken wings, a lamb lollipop, baby back rib, potato salad, and macaroni salad with apple cobbler for dessert for $22/PP ++.
