Sphinx Date Co. Celebrates 70-Year Anniversary this September

Sphinx Date Co. Palm & Pantry, located at 3039 N. Scottsdale Road, is celebrating its 70-year anniversary milestone as a local farm-to-store business. The proprietors, mother and daughter duo Sharyn and Rebecca Seitz, are celebrating with discounts, special items, and the official proclamation of “Sphinx Date Company Days” by Mayor David D. Ortega.

“We are honored to be presented with this proclamation and to have been a valued part of the Scottsdale community for so many decades,” says Rebecca Seitz, co-owner of Sphinx Date Co. “We are looking forward to celebrating this milestone and to serving our local clients and those around the country for many more years to come.”

On Thursday, September 9, Mayor Ortega will present Sphinx Date Co. with the official statement proclaiming Thursday, September 16 through Saturday, September 18 to be “Sphinx Date Company Days.” Beginning Thursday, September 16, in conjunction with this proclamation, Sphinx Date Co. is offering guests 20 percent off orders over $20 using code 1951, the year Sphinx Date Co. was originally founded. Sphinx Date Co. is also partnering with local company High Jinks to create specialty 70-year merchandise including stickers, bar towels, t-shirts and totes, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Scottsdale Historical Society. The company is also featuring an exclusive 70-year anniversary tote bag filled with Sphinx Date Co. originals including dates, date salsa and hot sauce, and anniversary merchandise.
