“Launch-Ready” Student Venture Teams Take on Bear Down & Pitch in Scottsdale

After successfully completing the New Venture Competition, a select number of student venture teams will be heading to Scottsdale, Arizona to showcase their business ventures in front of the Phoenix entrepreneurship community. These “launch-ready” teams have been diligently working on their ventures for the past year, and they are ready to compete for the $10,000 prize! The event takes place on Thursday, April 20 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Museum of the West at 3830 N. Marshall Way in Scottsdale.

Ted McGuire, Community Relations Coordinator of the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship, emphasizes that “BDP is an exciting opportunity for students to interact with the business community in Phoenix and Scottsdale. He explains, “It’s a great pitch competition followed by a reception with food, drinks, and networking.”

The McGuire Center Bear Down & Pitch is a unique opportunity to see these ventures in their launch-ready stage and hear directly from their founders. All are welcome to come and support the students of the New Venture Development Program as they embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.

Teams of highly motivated students master the conceptual and practical skills needed to turn ideas into ventures, solve real-world problems and serve the needs of real people in society.
