This April, The Cosanti Foundation continues its 2022 Spring Speaker Series entitled Living with the Land, Part 2: Food in the Desert. Building on its 2020 speaker series, which can be viewed on the foundation’s YouTube channel, this new series explores traditional, modern and future solutions for creating thriving food systems in both urban and rural desert environments.

Featuring active practitioners, thought leaders and experts in fields from permaculture to rainwater harvesting to indigenous agriculture and more, this series is designed to re-examine and expand attendees’ understanding of what it means to live sustainably on and with the land. Several of the speakers are also involved with supporting the revitalization of the agriculture program at Arcosanti itself.

April Living with the Land sessions take place live and in-person at Arcosanti, located in central Arizona near the town of Mayer. Tickets are free; space is limited and pre-registration is strongly encouraged. More information and registration links can be found online at https://www.arcosanti.org/lecture-series/. Specific dates, times, speakers, and session titles are as follows:
